Carmine Colbert

July 2, 1962 – June 9, 2026

Dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and cherished friend.

Born on July 2, 1962, Carmine peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on June 9, 2026. She lived a life defined by unwavering faith, unconditional love, compassion, and determination. For six years, she courageously battled pancreatic cancer with remarkable strength and grace, never allowing her circumstances to diminish her hope or her love for others. Through every trial, she inspired everyone she encountered, reminding them that with God, all things are possible.

To know Carmine was to know kindness. She had a beautiful heart, a warm smile, and a gentle spirit that made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her greatest joy was her family, but nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than being "Grandma." Her beloved grandsons, Kalen, Knoah, and Kanan, were her greatest treasures. She adored them beyond measure, loved celebrating every moment with them, and prayed for them daily. They filled her heart with pride, laughter, and endless joy, and the love she poured into their lives will remain with them forever. She found joy in life's simple blessings and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Carmine leaves behind her husband, Julius Colbert; her two beloved sons, Cameron Colbert and his wife, Kiara, along with their three sons, Kalen, Knoah, and Kanan; and her son, Caullen Colbert and his partner, Michelle Wang.

She is also lovingly survived by her mother, Plaida Valcin; her brothers, Frantzer Valcin, Gibbs Valcin, and Ed Valcin and his wife, Nancy; her nephew, Jeremy; her niece, Ashley Williams, and her husband, Vincent Williams; her nephew, Shelden and his partner, Jessica Castellanos; and her beloved cousins in Texas, the Decena family: Esther and her husband, German; Bertha and her husband, Clay; Jorge and his wife, Rocio; Emily (Lily) Mathieu and her husband; Carmi Cesaire and his wife, Jacqueline; Mica Martin and her husband; as well as Aunt Suze Dormus and her family in Florida.

Above all, Carmine's life was a reflection of God's love. She loved deeply, gave generously, and left every person she met better for having known her.

Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that Carmine's suffering has ended. Her legacy of faith, strength, kindness, and unconditional love will live on in the countless lives she touched. While we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing that one day we will see her again. Until then, her memory will remain a guiding light, and she will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
