Daryl’s nickname was Dirtman because he liked to do underground work in electrical installations. His favorite saying was you can’t hurt the dirt.

I was a friend of Daryl Bapst alias “Dirt Man” to his friends.Daryl acquired that nickname because he first started installing electrical conduit underground and enjoyed working outside. He told his friends just call me Dirt Man & the nickname stuck.I’ll always remember him as Dirt man.I’ll miss you man. Thanks for being my friend.
