Dorothy Ann Brown

Dorothy was born on January 14, 1943, to Wanda Ann Haines and Kermit Haines. Raised in a loving family, Dorothy learned the values of faith, kindness, hard work, and unconditional love that would define the way she lived her life.

On October 20, 1963, Dorothy married the love of her life, Stephen Taylor Brown. Together they shared more than 62 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, devotion, and family. Their marriage was a beautiful example of commitment, friendship, and enduring love.

Dorothy's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who found happiness in caring for those she loved. She is lovingly survived by her three children:

• Julie Ann Morgan

• Jacqueline Taylor Saffold and her husband, Scot Saffold

• Stephen Taylor Brown II

She was also the cherished grandmother of:

• Travis Roy Culverson and his wife, Ashley Culverson

• Ryne Nathaniel Read

• Alexis Cortni-Ann Morgan

She was the proud great-grandmother of:

• Bella Ann Culverson

• Noah Travis Culverson

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wanda Ann Haines and Kermit Haines, and her only sister, Donna Lee Miller.

Dorothy's home was the heart of her family. She especially loved cooking and preparing holiday meals, bringing everyone together around the table where laughter, love, and treasured memories were shared. Those family gatherings became traditions that will forever live in the hearts of her loved ones.

In addition to caring for her family, Dorothy dedicated 20 years to Sikes Day Care, where she served in management. She was known for her compassion, leadership, and genuine care for the children, families, and coworkers whose lives she touched.

Dorothy had a servant's heart. She gave selflessly, loved deeply, and always placed the needs of others before her own. Whether offering encouragement, preparing a favorite meal, or simply being there when someone needed her, she made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved.

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we rejoice in the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of faith, compassion, strength, generosity, and unconditional love. The values she instilled, the traditions she created, and the love she shared will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

The family finds comfort in knowing that Dorothy has been welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior and reunited with her beloved parents, her dear sister Donna, and all those who have gone before her. Her love will continue to guide us, and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
