Edna was born in Walton County, Georgia, to Luther and Willie Satterfield.
Mrs. Osborne worked at Kraft Foods and later served as the office manager for Dr. Arthur Silver, an orthodontist in Decatur. She enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. She was also a member of a dancing group in Anderson, South Carolina.
Edna had a love for painting and art. Her talent was especially meaningful to her church, Mountain Park Baptist, where her paintings were often used on the Bible study class books.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Thomas A. Ragan and Newell “Jim” Osborne; her sons Thomas Michael Ragan, Timothy D. Ragan and her sisters, Doris Cox, Modene Rainey, her brother Billy Satterfield and grandson John Richard Nelson
She is survived by her daughter Beverly Nelson, son-in-law John Nelson and her sister Betty Harris; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will hold private services.
In lieu of flowers, a charity of choice is preferred.
