Geneva Haygood Weaver

A visitation for Geneva will be held Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cremation, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cremation.

Genny Weaver lost her battle with Alzheimers and passed away peacefully on June 12th at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her husband Moses, her parents, and 5 siblings. She is survived by her two sons Michael G and John Phillip Weaver, sister Minnie Gantert, and Brother and Sister in Law Jack and Joanne Weaver. She is loved by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Genny was born on September 25th 1938 to James Glay and Ettie Long Haygood in Chamblee Georgia. She graduated from Chamblee High School in 1957 and soon after began her 37 year career at CDC. And retired in 1996. Visitation will be Sunday June 18th from 4 to 6 p.m. and the funeral will be on Monday June 19th at 12 noon. The service will be officiated by Pastor Richard Bumpers.
