Gina R. Shaw

Gina Renee Shaw or G as she was affectionately called by her brother Victor was born November 18th 1958 to the marriage of William and Shirley Shaw. Born in Chicago, Gina Shaw relocated to Los Angeles in 1979 returned to Chicago in 1988 and moved to her final destination of Snellville Georgia in 2007. Gina received her Degree from the Chicago College of Commerce where she pursued the required coursework for court stenography and went on to work several years as a Legal Secretary.

Gina had a strong spiritual presence and she touched the lives of everyone that she encountered, with special emphasis on young people. She shared her wisdom, gave meaningful advise and she was always able to get straight to the point without hurting ones feelings.

Gina loved to garden and travel. So many days were spent going to botanical gardens to enjoy the wonderful smells and the tranquility that these venues provided. She would then go back home and try to replicate what she had seen in her own vast garden. Gina definitely believed in the saying "We come from the earth, we return to the earth, and in between we garden."

Gina’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time that one lives. Her gentle smile, encouraging words, and overall love of family and friends will live in the heart and minds of those who knew her forever.

Gina is preceded in death by her Father William “Bill” Shaw and leaves to mourn: Mother, Shirley, Brothers Victor “Andre” and Shawn, Sister Joyce, Nephews Skyler and Matthew “Khari”, Uncles Robert Shaw and Ivory Hill, Aunts Gloria Hill and Bobbie Shaw and a host of family and friends.
