Gladys was known for her love of cooking especially her coconut cake and pumpkin rolls. She cooked for many years for Dale and David Sikes Day Care among others. Her morning biscuits were so well known that not only did the parents stop by to get a biscuit from "Fox" but several Braves and Falcons players would also stop by to get a get one. Gladys was affectionately known as "Fox", not only to the staff and kids, but to the parents as well. Many of those parents would often ask "Fox" how she got their kids to eat foods that they couldn't and she always told them it was just a "pinch of love". In her younger days, she worked at Colonial Grocery Store and even did TV commercials for them.
A woman of deep faith, Gladys' had a love for music and was most proud of being Grandma to, Kevin and Cameron and even though she didn't get to know her, she will always be "G-Ma" to her great granddaughter Eva.
