A proud Californian, Wendy was born in San Pablo, CA on February 12, 1955 to Frederick “Owen” and Cynthia (Gill) Myers. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Freda Myers, Claude Gill and Vashti Dean Gill, her great Aunt Lois Camp, Aunt Ernie and Uncle Bob Gill, and her beloved cousin, Susie.
Wendy grew up and stayed in the Bay Area, graduating from College Park High School and then attending St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA. In 1979, she moved to San Francisco, where she ultimately left her heart. Wendy welcomed a daughter, Cecily Vashti Maurer in April 1980 and they both rode out the 1989 San Francisco earthquake in the city. Wendy later went back to night school to obtain her long desired degree from St. Mary’s College. That, and her children, was one of her crowning jewels in life. Wendy was blessed with a wonderful career at American Express, where she made wonderful lifelong friendships.
Always one to do things her own way and pave her own path, Wendy moved to Georgia in August, 1994 with her daughter, Cecily, and her future spouse, Kevin. They settled in Snellville, and Wendy went on to have two more children, Brianna Mary and Kyle Frederick Noble. It was in GA that Wendy found her true calling, genealogy – something she excelled at. If being a mother was her most important role, being a grandmother was probably her most precious role, and she became “YaYa” in 2007 with the birth of her first grandchild. Her 5 grandchildren were the sparkles in her eyes, the joy in her heart, and brought her more laughter than she could have imagined.
Wendy was most proud of her family and loved them all dearly. There was no achievement too big or too small for her to brag about to friends, family members, and even to perfect strangers. She is survived by her parents, Owen and Cynthia Myers of Pleasant Hill, CA; daughter Cecily Waites (Jason), of Loganville, GA; spouse Kevin Noble, of Snellville, GA and their two children; daughter Brianna Noble (Kenneth), of Commerce, GA and son Kyle Noble, currently enlisted in the United States Navy in Great Lakes, Ill.; her precious grandchildren, Lily, James, Jaxson, Wyatt, and Owen; her sister Melissa Gerber (David) and her brother Dean Myers (Jill), all of Walnut Creek, CA. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Cremation has taken place and memorial services in both Georgia and California are being planned and will be held at a later date.
