Henry Russell Holland passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. Russell had a humorous and youthful spirit that we all loved about him and will forever be in our hearts.
Russell was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 13, 1929. He was raised and educated in Clarksville Tennessee. Russell relocated to Jamaica Queens, New York in 1962. He was a dedicated employee at Bayside Jewish Center for over 26 years before he got ill. In 1998, we were able to witness him recommit his life to the Lord.
Russell loved cracking jokes, having fun and spending time with his family. His grandchildren called him “Pop Pop” and he loved to talk to them for hours on end. Russell relocated to McDonough, Georgia on November 2006. He was a proud father, loving grandfather and a great friend. Whatever type of relationship you had with him, you knew him to be honest and sincere.
