I am sorry I did not hear about Jim passing until a few days ago. We did not work together a Southern Bell and Bellsouth but we knew each other through my family and the Pioneers. Jim and Dottie were good friends and we saw them often at John Boys. I will miss passing jabs back and forth. Our thoughts are with you.

I am the mother of the teenage girl that was killed in July 2012 the same time that Mr. Crews wife died and they were buried close to each other.  We spent lots of days talking at the cememtary and you could tell he missed his wife so much.  Such a joy to talk with this sweet man and I was wondering where he was lately as I knew he had some health issue.  I know his family will miss him and I will too, but one thing I know is that he loved the Lord and he is now reunited with him and his lovely wife, RIP Mr. Crews

Although close in distance I hadn't seen Jim in many years. I don't know why but maybe because I knew Dottie (as I learned to call her in 1968 at 151 New Street, in Decatur) had passed on ahead and I didn't know what to say. I will miss him very much although I know that he is in a much better place having a much better time.  If he has anything to do with it, heaven is a place with lots of hugs and "I love you's''. I had the pleasure of being on several trips with Jim & Dot and they were two of the sweetest people I have ever known.I know Dot greeted him with open arms and they are together again.

What I remember most about Dub was that he was always singing!! He and Tiny are together now for always. Love and prayers to the entire Crews family.

A glowing greeting and hug from Jim was like a little bit of Heaven, just making the day brighter. We praise God that Jim is with his beautiful and beloved Dot, and pray that knowledge brings comfort and peace to your family.

I will miss Jim so much.  I looked so forward to my visits and reminiscing with him.  We figured we could fix the world and everything else with our conversations. Jim also loved belonging to the Pioneers  He loved my husband, Red, and really missed having ice cream with him.  I know he is with the love of his life now.  He missed her so much.

The world is a sadder place without him. He was so sweet to my nephew and to me. He will be missed.
