James Walter Crews Sr., of Snellville, Georgia died August 12, 2015 after a long period of illness. The Brantley County native was born in Nahunta, GA. “Jim” or “Dub” as many know him, retired from Bellsouth where he had worked many years. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and he was a member of The American Legion. He was a devoted member of the Snellville Christian Church.
Mr. Crews is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Carroll Crews and parents Mrs. Katie Mae and Mr. Joe C. Crews of Nahunta. He is survived by his two sons, Jim Crews Jr., John and wife Cindy Crews, two grandsons, Michael Melton and Cody Crews, all of Snellville; brother Harry Crews of Lake Hartwell and sister Mrs. Leola Teasley of Loganville.
The funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 16 at 2:00 pm, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathon Dawson officiating. Interment will be held at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
