OBITUARY

James Maurice Kline

February 18, 1946July 28, 2020

James M. Kline made his transition at home on July 28, 2020 in Lilburn, GA at the age of 74.

James M. Kline was born on February 18, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois where he resided most of his adult life, and worked as a Mechanic for CTA until his retirement. At which time he moved to Atlanta, GA to be closer to his daughter and family.

James M. Kline was a generous, loveable, humorous and dedicated man who loved his family. He was an extremely hard worker, a skilled mechanic and computer whiz. He was a wonderful adoring father, brother, grandfather and friend to many. He enjoyed sitting quietly reading his favorite book Art of War and if he had some Chinese food that would be the icing on the cake. He loved to cook; his favorite dishes to prepare were Seafood Spaghetti, bokchoy, or Chili the hotter the better.

He always knew what to say to quiet whatever storm was brewing within in you. And when words weren’t enough his shoulder was there to offer the extra support that was needed. James was known to have loved hard even without saying a word. God and Family was his priority.

James M. Kline (Jimmy) is survived by his only child Angela Hall spouse (Lorenzo Hall). He was preceded in death by his parents James A. Kline and Mattiel Kline and his brother Thomas Kline. He leaves behind two (2) sisters Helen Castile (David) and Gwenda Kline and two (2) brothers Arthur Kline (Dianna) and Carl M. Kline. He is survived by 3 Grandchildren (Kenyatta, Lorenzo Jr. and Kalyn) and 2 Great Grandchildren (La’Miyah and Jozhua) a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins, and cherished friends too numerous to count.

Life and distance stole tangible memories that we should have shared. Although we hadn't seen each other in recent years, you made it your business to communicate with us all. I wholeheartedly enjoyed our last video call. We were able to laugh and clear up some uncertainties. I truly wish you had been given the opportunity to meet your great niece in person. You were always consistent my siblings and I and you were always impartial. You will forever be in our hearts and will always be remembered. You were amazing! I love you Uncle Jimmy!

Granddad,

The world will never be the same now that God has called you home. When things get tough as they sometimes will, I will always remember what you instilled in me as a kid.

"So stick to the fight when your hardest hit-
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit."

You were the best grandfather that anyone could ask for, and I'm proud to say that I am your granddaughter. I will forever miss you and will always love you!

Dad

As the time we shared ticked away our relationship changed. I started as the young man visiting your daughter then I became a son. Your words of wisdom and your listening ear never judged the mistakes I made guarding your most precious prize, Angela and your grandchildren. Thank you for believing in the man I could be and loving me like I was your own. When my Pop was called to Gods hands you comforted me a gave me a since of strength that I needed. Rest well Dad and be assured I will fulfill the promise.

Uncle Jimmy, a man of great faith and a man that never kept you down no matter what tried to come your way. You showed me so much man it's hard to explain or to say. I have always loved you and will never stop. I'm happy that God healed your body and you are now able to walk the streets of gold. Uncle Jimmy I will miss you very much. I haven't seen you in a while since you moved, but when we last talked we said to each other that we love each other and I will never forget that. I love you Uncle Jimmy and we will meet again

Uncle Jimmy, “Words can’t convey, what my heart wants to say”. You will truly be missed! I can remember our last phone call....and it was though you were right around the corner. We conversed as though time was NEVER interrupted. Thank you for always being a loving uncle!! Thank you for being consistent...and NEVER CHANGING! I thank God for the time given, now it’s his time.
Rest In Peace......
Love you,
Tiffany

Those we LOVE don't go away. They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
For death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
And LOVE leaves a memory no one can steal.

Uncle Jimmy to us endearingly known as
While it had been a few years
My daughters met you when I saw you last
I can still hear you laugh
I can still see you smile
The kind soul you shared on behalf
Of your respect for family
Your desire to draw close again
I promise it won’t be a fantasy
But a reality as we can and will
Love one another again and again
Draw close and fill
The space for today’s memories
Full of family bonds and ties
Grabbing hold of our family’s stories
May your legacy live through every
Soul you touched and connection you made
Forever admiring your love and bravery
