John William Veals, 69, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012, in Snellville, GA. John was born on January 3, 1943 in Swedesboro, NJ to Ralph and Ada May Veals. He earned degrees at three colleges, Juniata College(Bachelors), Fairleigh-Dickinson College(Masters), and NYU(PhD). John loved science and worked for many years as a research manager for Schering-Plough and was also a member of the American Chemical Society. He had a wonderful sense of humor and an adventurous spirit, even owning several winning race horses. He also loved to travel. John is survived by his wife Kalina Veals of Snellville, daughter Dana Jonske and husband Lou of Annapolis, MD, son Scott Veals and wife Jeannine of Ledgewood, NJ, brother Ralph Veals and wife Barbara of Washington, granddaughter Kathryn Veals and grandsons L. Joseph and Robert Jonske. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2013, in the Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ernest Gillis officiating.
