With her family by her side, Judy Moreno, 89, entered heaven peacefully on October 4, 2025, at home in Tucker, Ga. where she lived with her daughter Kelly. Born on February 4, 1936, in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Louise Adelaide Scott and James Addison Scott, Judy filled the lives of all who knew her with warmth, joy, and unconditional love.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Moreno, with whom she shared years of love, laughter, and family devotion.
Her greatest happiness came from her family. She is survived by her six children and their families:
Pat Dwyer (Sayo, Sean, Corin), Cindy McAllister (Mike, Morgan, Mason), Mike Dwyer (Stacy, Brandon, Austin), Kathy Chancey (Robby, Dane, Megan, Cole), Dr. Kelly Dwyer (Bella), and Susan Grantham (Tim, Taylor, Maggie). She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Linda Wark, Kathy Gomez, and Debbie Pennington and their families, and many dear friends who surrounded her with love throughout her life.
Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—trips to the beach, shopping trips, redecorating her home, tending her garden, watching birds outside her window, and visiting with family and friends. She was deeply loved by her caregivers, whose kindness and devotion brought her comfort and peace.
Judy’s legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, 636 W. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA.
