Julie Laverne Anderson of Grayson, Georgia, passed away June 21, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Monticello, Georgia. Julia is preceded in death by her parents Albert J. Grubbs and Vallie (Williams) Grubbs of Palatka, Florida, sisters Mitzi Ford, Bonnie Ingram, and cousin Louise Camp. She is survived by daughter Sara Cash and son Sonny Spratlin (Vicki Pittas Spratlin). She is also survived by grandchildren David Ray Cash, Dana Morgan, Alexandra Kendall, and Carey Lee Spratlin. Julia was blessed with great grandchildren Micheal Cole, Mathew Cole, Mason Morgan, Noah Cash, Anna Cash, Victoria Kendall, and Diana Kendall.
Julia had a special fondness for her nieces and nephews Vallie Polchan, Debra Redmond, Deanna Ingram, George Ingram, Alan Camp, Becky Spratlin, Lynn Spratlin and Martin Dale Spratlin.
Julia was born in Brunswick, Georgia, and spent most of her growing up years living in coastal cities like Brunswick, Savannah and Miami and enjoyed summers with relatives on St. Simons Island, Georgia. She retired from King and Spalding law firm in Atlanta after over 33 years as a legal secretary. Julia had an exemplary work ethic and professional presence throughout her career. As a mother and homemaker, she kept a well organized and loving home, enabling the stability and growth of her family. Julia loved the beach and spent many hours beachcombing on vacations and trips with family members.
A lifelong Christian, Julia continually prayed and studied the Bible with full assurance of her salvation and expectation of a heavenly home when her time came. She passed peacefully and rests now in God’s promise.
