Karen Lynne Bolding

Karen Lynn Bolden was born on July 15, 1945 to the Late Mr. Walter Owens and Mrs. Blanche Summeral Owens in Laurens, South Carolina. Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Owens, and husband, Stanley Bolding.

Karen was a loving a caring person. Karen worked at International Harvester (Navistar) for many years as an insurance agent. During her tenure there, Karen met Stan Bolding and ultimately married him.

Karen enjoyed many things, first and foremost being a mother. She loved puzzles, word games, and board games (especially Scrabble). Karen enjoyed going to the library her entire life and was an avid reader. She also loved going to the movies. In her spare time you could find her at the swimming pool, on the tennis court, playing putt putt..always active. Karen loved taking beach trips with her family. One of Karen’s favorite foods was ice cream (and chocolate of any kind).

Karen leaves precious memories with her son: Lee Alcorn (50); Sister: Betty Gilbert (82); grandchildren: Logan, Tyler, Cole, Lilly, & Pierce; nephews: Allen and Cliff.

A visitation for Karen will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cremation, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039.
