Linda McFarland Chesney, formerly of Loganville, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25 at Gateway Gardens Memory Care in Bethlehem, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Chesney, and her parents, Ervin and Catherine McFarland.
Linda was a long-time pre-school teacher and director and was a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church in Grayson. She loved spending time with her family, listening to country music and talk radio, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracy Weaver (Chad) and Heather Abner (Jason); her grandchildren Zachary Weaver (Taylor), Houston Abner, Brinley Abner, and great-granddaughters Lakyn, Wrenley, and Kadence.
In addition, she is survived by her brothers Rev. Andrew McFarland (Doris), Dr. Howard McFarland (Benita), and Mr. Bobby McFarland (Gayle) and their families.
A service for Linda will take place Monday, June 1, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home & Memory Gardens in Snellville, at 11:00 am. The family will receive guests prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am.
