Linden Wyatt Bentinck Sr. known as Wyatt, was the son of the late Carlton Joseph Bentinck Sr., a Superintendent in the Guyana Police Force and Vesta Veronica Canterbury, a retired Administrative Professional and Licensed Practical Nurse. He was born on November 6th, 1971 in Guyana. Wyatt attended and graduated from elementary, intermediate and high schools in New York City. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a 19 D (Cavalry Scout) in the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, Louisiana then ultimately Fort Hood, Texas. He completed his enlistment and returned back to New York City, shortly afterwards, he attended Baruch College and majored in Business, however, he left Baruch with 25 credits shy of attaining his Bachelor’s Degree, for his lifelong job at Verizon, where he worked for 25 years and retired this past July.
Wyatt was blessed with a large and loving family. He met Davia Brown, they had five wonderful children that he helped to raise with patience, understanding and humility. He enjoyed taking them to the movies, taking them on trips to various places and spending time with them.
Wyatt was a very good man. He demonstrated calmness under pressure, physically and mentally tough, yet understanding, kind, reliable, steadfast and resolute. He will definitely be sorely missed by all his loved ones. Wyatt is survived by his children; Linden, Malik, Prince, Quinnardo and Davianna. His siblings; Alana, Gregory, Tyrone, Shawn, Carlton Jr., Barbara, Julian (deceased), Philip (deceased) and Candacy. His nieces; Vonetta, Tricia, Tristen,Tyler, Clarissa and Chanecia. Nephews; Troy, Michael, Amal, Ty and Raymond. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Lifelong friends such as; Jason, Young, Malcolm and many more too numerous to mention, his girlfriend Canela and finally his Mother Vesta, whom he loved dearly.
A visitation for Linden will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia.
Linden will be laid to rest in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, Georgia.
