Lois A Canen

Mrs. Lois Arlene Canen went to be with her precious Lord, March 11, 2013. She was born in Potter, Nebraska on June 21, 1934. She lived in Nebraska until she was 12, then moved to Bethany, Oklahoma. Upon graduating from high school and attending two years of college she moved to Kansas City Missouri, where she was employed by the Nazarene Publishing House. On March 1, 1959 she married her husband, Paul I. Canen, when he graduated from seminary in 1959, she faithfully served as a pastor's wife in many responsible positions. She also worked at the Wesley Woods Center in Decatur, Georgia for 23 years as the office manager of the administrator. Mrs. Canen is survived by her husband, Paul I. and four children two sons and two daughters, 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her sons and daughters-in-law, James & Cathy of Toccoa, GA. Stephen & Sue of Loganville, GA. Her daughters and sons-in-law, Gwendolyn & Michael of Dawsonville, GA and Lauri & Thomas of Conyers, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arlo Fisher, two brothers, Harland & Alden Fisher. She has one surviving sister, Phyliss Campbell of Oklahoma City, OK. Her grandchildren and spouses are Amber & Kurt Frictel, Anna & Cody Kujawa, Ian & Christina, Taylor & Ashley Jones, Austin & Emrie Canen, John & Stephanie Summerford, Jacob Summerford, T. J. Canen, and Dillon Canen. Her great grandchildren, Corrine and Grant Kujawa. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Gracepointe Nazarene Church with Mark Bane officiating. Tributes for Lois may be placed at www.eternalhillsfuneralhome.com.
