Lowery was born on June 16th, 1942, to Fred and Doris Farley. He grew up in Bluefield, WV, alongside his twin older brothers Donnie and Ronnie. After receiving a football scholarship to Georgia Tech, he transferred to Concord College in WV and graduated with a degree in business administration. He married his wife, Beth, in 1967 and spent the majority of his career in real estate and development as the owner of Seibert and Son, General Contractors.
Lowery was an active member of his church until Beth’s illness prevented them from attending. Though he was tested in the later years by his declining physical condition, his desire was still for the Lord and wanting to be with Him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beth, and survived by his three children: Shari Upchurch, Leslie Thompson, and Mark Farley, as well as their spouses and his grandchildren.
A visitation for Lowery will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1525 Scenic Highway, Snellville, GA 30078. Following the visitation will be the funeral service at 1:00 PM in the same location.
