Lynette Teresa Agostini-Black

Lynette Teresa Agostini-Black entered into eternal rest on December 11, 2013 in Grayson, GA at the age of 83. Lynette, an only child, was born on September 21, 1930 in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico to Herman and Carmen Agostini. Lynette graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, VA and earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Georgia State University in, Atlanta, GA. Lynette touched many young lives at Margaret Harris High School in DeKalb County, GA where she was a dedicated Special Education Teacher, until her retirement. Though she enjoyed her retirement, she volunteered as a Spanish translator for the Special Education Department in the Gwinnett County, GA school system. Lynette married the love of her life, William (Bill) Henry Black on November 21, 1953 and they raised three sons. Lynette and Bill enjoyed traveling across the country in their RV, were members of the Good Sam Club, licensed Ham Radio Operators, and avid dancers within the Round Dancing Community. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Herman Truxton Black (Cheri) of Ft Lauderdale, FL; Robert Selden Black (Jennifer) of Peachtree City, GA; and Joe Michael Black (Michelle) of El Paso, TX., along with her Grandchildren, who were her pride and joy; William, Alexi, Annie, Samuel, Erin, Caleb, Josiah, & Giovanna. Lynette is preceded in death by her husband & parents. Lynette’s family would like to extend their gratitude to New London Health Center, Crossroads Hospice, and Visiting Angels Senior Care for the excellent care and attention shown to their mother. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Lynette’s memory be made to: New London Health Center- 2020 McGee Road, Snellville, GA 30078; Crossroads Hospice- 1957 Lakeside Pkwy, Ste. 500; Tucker, GA 30084; Visiting Angels Senior Care- 2820 Simpson Circle, Norcross, GZ 30071, or to the charity of your choice. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 15, 2013, in the Eternal Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
