Marilyn was born on November 26th, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to Harold William Sorensen and Doris Smith Sorensen. Marilyn was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who always placed the needs of others above her needs. Her Lord came to this world to serve and not to be served, and she followed His example with all her relationships. Her enjoyments in life were her family, food, and needlework.
Survivors include son Glenn P. Duffek and wife Laura C. Duffek of Atlanta, GA; sister Janet Sorensen Voss and husband George of Rowland, PA; granddaughter Glenda Marie Duffek of Tulsa, OK; and grandson William Henry Duffek of Richmond, VA. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry Bernt Duffek of Atlanta, GA; son Gary Steven Duffek and wife Ruth Brown Duffek; and granddaughter Zoe Ann Duffek.
Graveside Service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, April 9 at the Eternal Hills Memory Garden, 3700 Stone Mountain Hwy., Snellville, GA. with the Pastor Danny Odum officiating. Burial will follow. Please express condolences by visiting www.eternalhillsfuneralhome.com.
