She was born on April 27, 1934, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Ashley and Clara Haithcock. She spent her early years in North Carolina raising her family before moving to Georgia in 1984. She was a resident of Loganville, Georgia for the past 30 years. Marjorie was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of The Cross Church in Loganville. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived, the way she loved others, and the peace she carried throughout her life. She was the matriarch of her family, often reminding everyone with a smile, “I started all this.” What a beautiful legacy she created. She was a deeply involved grandmother who always opened her home to her grandchildren. Whether it was swimming, hosting birthday parties, playing, or enjoying extravagant Christmas festivities, her home was a place of joy, laughter, and lasting memories. She was also a breast cancer survivor, a testament to her strength and resilience. Marjorie is survived by her five children: Dean Comer of Conyers, Georgia; Chuck Comer of Greensboro, North Carolina; Kay Landreth of Loganville, Georgia; Ann Vincent (Stacy) of Loganville, Georgia; and Roy Feathers of Surf City, North Carolina. Her legacy continues through her 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom were deeply loved and impacted by her life. She will be remembered for her strong faith, her love for her family, and the lasting foundation she built for generations to come
