Mark Stuart Peek was born on May 25, 1954 to Marion S. Peek Sr. and Mary Creecy Peek. His 2 older brothers, Spencer and Steve, were there to welcome him as the baby of the family. He grew up in Gresham Park, where he gained many life long friends. Mark went to Walker high school, where he met Trenna Hawkins, where a true fairy tale began, and who became his wife in 1976. Lauren and Justin came along after many years of praying and begging God to help them build a family. Mark was the best daddy and always worked many jobs to provide and give above and beyond to his family. He knew how to do everything! He could fix anything! He could build a car from the ground up, heal boo-boos, sew, design anything that came his way, roof, plumb, build toy boxes for each new baby, ironed like a pro, and applied the tooth paste to Trenna’s tooth brush every day. He was not just the most amazing Dad, but the absolute legend of a PawPaw. He didn’t take that title lightly. The 4 grand babies worshiped the ground that he walked on. They couldn’t wait for him to come home so they could grab the “cookie box” and have a cookie with Pawpaw! Mark was one of a kind, he showed his kids and grandkids how to love the Lord and others by walking the walk and not just talking the talk. He was actually a man of few words, but when he did speak, even if it wasn’t something we wanted to hear, it was always the right thing.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Marion Spencer Peek Sr., and mother, Mary Creecy Peek, along with his precious brother, Marion Spencer Peek Jr. Those left here with broken hearts include the love of his life, Trenna Hawkins Peek, brother, Richard Steven Peek (Kim), daughter, Lauren Gleason (Patrick), son, Justin Peek (Emily), grandchildren, Rivers (5), Paxton (5), Ava Grace (3), and Bryson (2), along with nephew, Jonathan Peek (Jennifer), and Jenni Andrews (Mack), many aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
