March 18, 1943 - September 11, 2025
Marsha Olivia Dean, 82, of Loganville, Georgia, entered her heavenly home on September 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Marsha is survived by her husband: Richard Dean, two daughters: Jennifer Cobb (Scott) and Suzanne Mink (Trevor), five grandchildren: Ashlyn Mink, Austin Mink (Sarah), Kaitlin Hook (Tyler), Krista Carr (Ryan), and Kyle Cobb (Halle),
and five great-grandchildren: Hazel Kennett, Macy Kennett, Warren Kennett, Wyatt Carr, and Audrey Carr.
Born on March 18, 1943, Marsha lived a life marked by unwavering faith, devotion to family, and a servant's heart.
A faithful Christian, she dedicated herself to raising her daughters in church, Christian school, and Christian college.
Her daughters, Jennifer and Suzanne, are forever grateful for the spiritual foundation and guidance she provided.
Marsha married the love of her life, Richard Vernon Dean in February of 1965.
Just two months later, Rick received orders from the Army to report to Vietnam where he served his country in battle for a full year.
The only contact that year was through letters and one phone call in the middle of the night.
Despite the difficult beginning, they were married over sixty years and they built a home centered on faith, love, and family.
They enjoyed entertaining friends, camping, boating, traveling and sight-seeing, including taking cruises with lifelong friends.
Marsha was an Army wife for fours years before Rick completed graduate school and entered the FBI.
She was an FBI agent's wife for over thirty years, which consisted of five transfers before finally landing in Atlanta, Georgia in 1981.
Rick lovingly stayed by Marsha's side, through sickness and health, until her very last breath.
Marsha's life was full and diverse. She studied at the University of Georgia and later attended Nursing school in Northern Virginia.
Known for her sharp mind and vast medical knowledge, she was affectionately nicknamed 'Doctor' by those who relied on her wisdom and insight.
She worked as a flight attendant early in life, later enjoyed substitute teaching in the school system, and always cherished opportunities to connect with people.
Gifted with creativity, Marsha crafted exquisite porcelain dolls from start to finish - pouring slip, firing, hand-painting their delicate faces, and sewing elegant dresses.
Her dolls were admired at shows and cherished by collectors.
She also had a deep love for animals and children. Throughout her life she rescued countless animals - from baby birds to dogs - and showed great compassion for those in need.
Marsha even welcomed children into her home when their mother passed, caring for them until their father returned from work.
Acts of love like this defined her life.
Marsha never met a stranger; she had a gift for making everyone smile and laugh, and she was truly loved by all who knew her.
Marsha cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her later years.
To them, she was lovingly known as 'Mimi' and her home as Graceland.
Marsha's family and friends will remember her as a woman of deep faith, remarkable talents, and constant love and laughter.
A celebration of life will held on Friday September 26, 2025 at 2pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, in Snellville, Paster Donnie Pennington will officiate.
Visitation will begin at noon, prior to the service.
Marsha's greatest legacy is her faith, her compassion, and the family she so deeply loved - a testimony that will continue to inspire generations to come.
