Mary Elizabeth (Carr) Brady passed away November 4 at the age of 70 due to respiratory complications resulting from ALS. Mary was born on November 11, 1944, and lived on Cypress Creek near Dumas, Arkansas as a girl. She graduated from Watson High School in 1962. She went to Arkansas A&M University where she met the man of her dreams, Sam Brady. They were married on July 13, 1963. She went on to graduate from the University of Kansas in 1968. She had two sons. Sam was born in 1969, and Bill in 1974. Mary worked at Emory University for many years, and after she retired she and her husband bought an RV and hit the road for 12 years of traveling and enjoying life.
Mary is the daughter of Thomas and Dora Carr and is survived by her brother, Gene Carr, of Monticello, AR; her sister, Marzelle Colbert, of Clovis, CA; her husband, Sam Brady, Jr., of Douglasville, GA; her sons, Sam Brady III of Cumming, GA and Bill Brady of Tucker, GA; their wives; and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Mary's name to the ALS Association.
