Mary and Bill were married in 1945 and were blessed with a long happy marriage of 65 years. They traveled the world while Bill was in the Army. They were stationed in Germany during the 1950’s when their first child was born. They retired in Stone Mountain, Georgia where they raised their family and Mary worked at DeKalb General Hospital in the Dietary Division for 28 years. Upon the age of 68, she decided to take up painting on canvas. This was an amazing hidden talent and many of her paintings are hanging in places such as Emory Hospital. She was a wonderful seamstress and found much joy in making beautiful quilts and Christmas stockings and ornaments for family and friends.
On Tuesday April 4th, a private viewing will be held for the immediate family followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens 3700 Stone Mountain Highway Snellville, GA 30039.
