Julie and I met at UF our freshman year in the”nunnery “ fourth floor Trusler hall. We remained friends forever after that. She was always part of our “girls weekends”.  One of the girls weekends was just after I had finished chemotherapy for my breast cancer. It was in Atlanta, and I stayed with Julie. One night she cooked for us!  Shrimp and grits:)   It was one of the best meals and nights I can remember! I had no idea at the time that Julie would get this dreaded disease. I even said “ one out of seven women gets breast cancer, so I took the hit for all of us!”  Little did I know how cruel cancer can be. I will always love Julie! She was very special:)
