Nellie Jo was born to Charles Edward and Ellen Denny Jennings on October 16, 1930. She grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi where she met Bobby F. (Bob) Williams. They were married on June 7, 1952. He predeceased her in August 2006.
Nellie Jo was remarried to Charles N. (Nick) Wright in 2012. He predeceased her in April 2020.
The children of Nellie Jo and Bob were their joy and priority, their interest and accomplishments supported through childhood and beyond. They were also very loving and doting grandparents. After retiring from Colonial Pipeline Company, Nellie Jo enjoyed volunteering, reading, gardening, and spending time with children and grandchildren. Surviving children are W. Michael Williams, Brian Williams (Cindy), Emily Hinson (John), and Amy Boss (Marcus). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Jean Brown and Sue Shamblin.
