born to Otho N. Harden, Jr. and Jennie Lou Wilbanks in Atlanta, Georgia on September
5, 1925.
He graduated from Tech High School in Atlanta, GA. Bud married his life partner Jacquelyn
Higginbotham on October 6, 1950. He served his country in the United States Army, and received an honorable discharge. After his time of service Bud returned to work at Western Electric; where he remained for 45 years and retired.
Bud was a faithful member of Colonial Woods Baptist Church, Lawrenceville Ga. under the leadership of
Interim Pastor: Glen McCall.
He enjoyed working with his hands, he got such sense of accomplishment from being able
to look back and see the finished work. Buds many joys in life were: Sports,
Woodworking, Stain Glass, and doing ceramics with Jackie was probably the most
enjoyable pastime of both Bud and Jackie spending time together. In earlier years he
liked to take his family camping and fishing on occasions for the BIG CATCH!
Bud is survived by his beautiful wife of 69 years, Jackie H. Harden; sons: David Allen Harden (Barbara) and William Christopher Harden (Rose); grandson: Jesse Miles Harden (Chelsea), granddaughters: Melba Lane Rosa (Alejandro), Julia Rose Williams (Aaron) and Sarah Marie Casto (Chris); great-grandsons: Daniel Alejandro Rosa, Colten Miles Harden, Miles Joseph Williams; and great-granddaughters: Melba Emma Rosa, Treva Jean Harden and Olivia Marie Casto.
