Regina Johnson

JOHNSON, Edith Regina passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Regina was born on September 29, 1922 in Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom Johnson; her sister Norma Schoelkopf; and, her beautiful great granddaughter Ansley Addison Arnette.

She is survived by her brother Charles Hazelip (Faith) and sisters Paula Smoot and June Horner; her daughter Carolyn Johnson Byers (Martin); her son Tom Johnson (Susan); her grandsons Kevin Perry and Kerry Johnson (May); granddaughters Paige Perry Arnette and Stacy Johnson Branch (Jamie); great grandchildren Autumn Arnette, Brendan Branch and Emmitt Branch; many nieces and nephews and wonderful supportive friends.

Regina retired from Broward (FL) County School system with over 25 years as Manager of the School Nutrition Program, but continued to work part time for the Gwinnett County School Nutrition Program. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and her hearty laugh. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

A celebration of life service will be held in her honor on Friday, March 13 at Harmony Grove United Methodist Church in Lilburn with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, 50 Harmony Grove Road, Lilburn, Georgia.
