Duane you probably don't remember me but I was a seminary student intern at Loganville FUMC. 1991-92 with Ken Stephens. I have very fond memories there and of you and Auther. Remember KK from South Africa? But y'all were very kind to me. So sorry

May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you all with His comfort during this time. Arthur was a kind and quiet man. When I graduated from school, he made me a small, smooth, beautiful wooden cross. My father has pictures from Germany of Arthur and Duane and my father and mother when they were stationed there before I was born. I know Duane and Ricky and Mark and all the children and grandchildren will miss him very much. God keep you all in His care.
Love, Denise McCart Lawson

Arthur was a man of few words, but could speak volumes with his knowledge. I loved to watch him turn out beauty with his woodworking when I was younger, and loved being the recipient of much of that creativity in later years. One of my very favorite memories was attending a small country church with him one Sunday morning, in the Shakerag Community, where he was the lay speaker for the day. I have never enjoyed the music and spirit anywhere as much as I did as a young teenager that day, and was so thankful Arthur allowed me to go with him. I'm going to miss my "brother" greatly. RIP, Arthur.
