Ron was a Good Man, and a Good Friend, may he rest in peace. I am honored to have Served with him.

I had the biggest crush on you when I was a little girl. I always tried to sit between you and Sandy. At the time I told everybody Ben and I are getting married, you said: “I thought you would marry me?” I told you “I can’t wait forever”. 
We loved how you pronounced the city ‘s Hertogenbosch as Sex in the Bus. You loved the Dutch snack frikandel speciaal, something you missed in the States. The time we went to Amsterdam to the Wallen (red light district). There are too many things to mention. We had a lot of fun together. 
I’m sad that I didn’t have the change to say goodbye. Unfortunately you left us way too soon.
Say hello to the family when you’re in Heaven. I hope you’ll rest in Peace and maybe (if I behave myself 😉) we’ll meet again.

Hí Ron, my dear friend and brother, 

Now that you've passed away, all our encounters, the times we spent together, the moments of laughter and tears take on a different value. I will never forget how we often visited you in Germany.
The moments behind the computer or when the four of us went out.
And what I have certainly never forgotten and will never forget is that you always got the largest piece of meat or the largest piece of pastry from our mother-in-law and how we often had to laugh about that, especially when I supposedly complained to her 😊.
Ron, dear friend and brother, I am sorry that you left us so early and I hope that where you are now you will be surrounded by friends and family, and I am sure that we will see each other again later.

I have worked with Ron for about 3 almost 4 years. I picked groceries (mostly the produce) while he stocked the Produce section. I would always go back and bug him into helping me find some produce that had just come off the truck. He and I would joke back and forth, he was fun to mess with and gave as good as he got! I would always call out, “Oh Ron!” right as I would come through the doors looking for something. I remember I would tell him to get to work and he would say, “If I did that, they would come to expect it!” Lol. 
I miss him already, it’s not the same when he isn’t working the truck or stocking. I feel like he is still on leave, and that one morning he will just walk back through the swinging doors ready to work! I have his family in my prayers and thoughts! He is and will be sorely missed by many current and ex co-workers!! My deepest condolences to the family!


I had the privilege of working with Ron for 17 years. If I could sum up in a few words about Ron it would be: You could count on him, he was always there if you needed anything, Ron’s dedication to his job and his work ethic was impeccable. Which goes hand and hand with his career in the military. I had the upmost respect and appreciation for his many years of service in the United States Army. Ron was a dear friend and I am going to miss him greatly. Sandy, my heart felt sympathy to you and the whole family. You all have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Every time Uncle Ronnie came to town was an exciting time for the whole family. I have so many memories that I will cherish forever. I remember this one particular time I got to spend the night at my grandparents house at the same time Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Sandy were visiting and I was stoked. I probably talked their heads off but the next morning they were going to run some errands and he asked if I wanted to come too. I think I was outside before I actually finished saying yes. As a child that was the best gift ever just to spend time with them both. Uncle Ronnie you will truly be missed and forever in our hearts.

Ron, you have always been my rock and my strength in our lives together and it has left a big void when you went home, The love we have for each other will give me strength for the next phase of my life until our souls are reunited again. Love is you, it has always been you . Forever Sandy.

     I enjoyed hugging and talking with Ron every week for the past 15 years. He was my Army brother. Ron was a gentleman who ALWAYS made it a point to greet and assist all customers in the Walmart Store at Monroe.  He was courteous, friendly and, above all, competent. Ron Gould was an excellent ambassador for the Walmart Corporation. I lost a truly dear friend and our nation lost an outstanding soldier and hero, who sacrificed an entire career in the Army to keep the United States a free nation.  I offer sincere & heartfelt sympathy to the entire Gould family. I mourn with you this day,  for Ron was one of the finest human beings I have EVER met. Sincerely, Philip A.
