Ronald D Huey

Ron was a beloved husband and father known for his quick wit and outgoing personality. A devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan, Ron bled red and black. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed trying to outsmart crappie on Lake Oconee. When Ron wasn’t on the water, you could find him out on the course playing golf with his buddies.

Ron loved animals, especially dogs, and had dozens of pets throughout his life. He enjoyed terriers, though later in life he fell in love with huskies and owned three.

Early in his career, Ron worked in the banking business though spent much of his business life working in life and health insurance.

Ron will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Rita Ann Huey, his daughter Ashley Paige Huey, son Ronald David Huey, Jr. and wife, Judy Moran, and children Alexandra and Nicholas, his brother Michael (Debbie) Huey and sister Zoe Reichmann. His stepchildren, Rebekah (Owen) Kinney and children Ian, Elliot and Noah, JC (Pamela) Hurst and children James (Nikki) Hurst and Madison (Chris) and Lauren (Joey) Talley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph Huey and Ella Ruth Huey.
