Royston “Rudy” Rudolph was born in Davidson County, Tennessee and grew up in North Carolina. He attended several colleges and graduated from North Carolina State, Raleigh with a degree in wildlife management. Rudy’s career at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service spanned over 35 years and ended in his retirement in 1986.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. He is survived by Lavona C.
