

2025 at the age of 95. She was born in Atlanta,Ga to Dewey G. Lee and Lois Mae Lee on October 12th, 1930.
Ms. Richardson was born in 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia and lived in the West End neighborhood where she graduated from Brown High
school. She and her family moved to Gwinnett County in 1966 where she remained throughout her life. She was a homemaker in the early years and later enjoyed a career in the insurance industry.
She and her family were charter members of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Norcross,Ga and she was very active there until 1988.
Ruth will be remembered for her fun loving joyful spirit. She loved music and singing and performed with the church choir for many years. She enjoyed traveling and spending time near the water, and was always up for an adventure. Her sense of humor was infectious. She loved her family devotedly and always wanted the best for her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She was blessed with a long life and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded by her brothers Harold and Leonard Lee and former husband Elbert Clay Richardson Jr. She is survived by three children, James(Sharon) Richardson, Diana J(Mark) Risacher, and Julia(Todd) Simpson. She is also survived by five grandchildren, David(Aaren)Richardson, Ryan(Courtney)Simpson, Steven(Ashleigh) Simpson, and Michael and Rachel Risacher along with seven great grandchildren; Silas, Gabriel, and Micah Richardson, Owen, Phoenix, and Hunter Simpson and Owen Hendrix.
Mrs. Richardson's visitation and reception take place at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, GA, on Monday December 22, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm followed immediately by the funeral service in the Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel.
