Sandra J Sullards

Sandra Jean Whisnant Sullards, our beloved mother, has passed from this world to the promise of the presence with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we are not long for this world, she resided here from March 2, 1940 til October 2, 2025. She lived a life notable for her faith and followership of Christ. Hindered by fibromyalgia and restricted movement of her body, her greatest longing in these latter years was for the imminent return of her Savior. As the time was not yet for His return and her body could not hold her spirit any longer, she went to Him. With that knowledge, we are filled with joy for her though we mourn her loss in our lives. She is now in heaven with her husband, Bobby Roy Sullards, and her beloved Whisnant and Sullards family members who preceded her in death. We, her sons and daughters in-law, Dr. Cameron and Rosemary Sullards, Vestavia Hills, AL; Brooks and Belinda Sullards, Mt. Airy, GA; Shane and Stephanie Sullards, Braselton, GA, and her twelve grandchildren; Sage, Sara, Stephen, Rachel, Samuel, Joseph, Josiah, Ruth, Caleb, Kiralese, Kaden, and Kolter remain her legacy. Sandra “The Whiz” Sullards was a camp counselor, avid sign language teacher and interpreter, and award winning painter in her early life in Little Rock, Arkansas. In her latter years in Stone Mountain, Georgia, she was a political advocate, traveler, benefactor, and a loyal wife, mother, and friend. While her physical health allowed, Sandra was a devoted member of Cornerstone Bible Church of Lilburn, GA and a long time resident of Stone Mountain, GA where she enjoyed many lifelong friendships. A family graveside service will take place on Monday, October 13, at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, where we will lay her body to rest next to her beloved Bobby.
