

Sara Kimsey Bryant, age 86, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. Sara was born in Andrews, North Carolina on October 8, 1939, to Carabel and Clay Kimsey. She graduated from Russell High School in East Point, Georgia, where she was voted “Most Talented” her senior year. God blessed her with a beautiful soprano voice and she loved singing His praises whenever she had an opportunity. She married Boyce Davis in 1958 and they had two daughters. Sara was a Girl Scout leader, helping sell many boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, and a children’s choir director. She loved singing in the adult choir at church and singing solos at many weddings and funerals for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music, knitting and crocheting, and playing cards and dominoes. Sara loved making her “special” cinnamon toast for the grandchildren and would always make two pans of dressing, one with and one without onions, just to keep everyone happy.
In 1982, Sara married Gene Bryant and they enjoyed traveling together in their Airstream “Silver Bullet” camper. She was in Eastern Star and worked as the supervisor of the Complaint & Authority Center for the Interstate Commerce Commission where she retired in 1985. Gene and Sara were faithful members of Northminster Baptist Church in Conyers, GA and later at Sunrise Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA where they were “Game Day” leaders.
Mrs. Bryant is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister/other mother, Edith (Lawrence) Winn, brothers Leon (Charmia) Kimsey and Larry (Jackie) Kimsey and four year old little sister Sandy Kimsey. Survivors include her husband Eugene Bryant, and daughters Joy (David) McBride and Donna (Mike) Bennett. Sara is also survived by 5 grandchildren that she adored, Justin (Catherine) Bennett, Steven (Kendra) McBride, John (Angie) McBride, Meredith (Chris) Rea and Jordan (Dayna) Bennett and blessed with 10 greatgrandchildren, Alexis, Paxton, Fisher, Caroline, Livie Joy, CJ, Adlee, Collins, Davis and Brooks, nephew/other brother Jerry (Beth) Shaifer and many other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life service in the chapel of Eternal Hills Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
