Shirley Evonne Timmons Freiley Logan

Shirley Evonne Timmons Freiley Logan passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023. She was born in Red Oak, Texas to Mr. & Mrs. Frederick E. Timmons on Nov. 8, 1934. She completed her education at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas. Afterwards, she married and was a devoted mother to her three children. Business took the young family to Georgia where she had a brief career in real estate with Harry Norman Realty. Her talents for design and her eye for detail served her well in her 25+ year career with the special-order furniture department of Rich’s, then Macy’s. She was known as “Special Order Shirley”. She was a wonderful homemaker and known for her signature dishes that were referred to as Nana’s/Mama’s “fill in the blank”. We will miss her gracious caring way, her Texas sass, and the greeting cards sent for all special occasions.

She is survived by her little brother of 11 months, Robert Timmons (and family) of Texas; son David (Chris); daughter Deborah; daughter Karey (Doug); grandson Greg; grandson Andy (Mandi); grandson Adam (Hailey); granddaughter Jennie; grandson Blake (Alysha); greatgrandchildren: Shelbey, Anslee, Kaylie, Drake, Gabriel, Austin, and Rachel.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cremation, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
