

Thomas Martin Flaherty, Jr. arrived on October 12, 1935 to Brooklyn, New York (Bayridge) and departed on April 4, 2013 in Loganville, Georgia. His wife Nancy; his children, Brian, Kenneth and Bridget, his grandchildren, Kathleen, Kayleigh, Chaz
& Jaime, his sisters and brother-in-laws, Joan & Nils Dahl, Blanche Helen & Gerard McCoyd, and Kathleen & William Connolly will sorely miss him. He will also be missed by his many nieces & nephews, their families and his friends. Tom was a paratrooper during the Korean War and he provided many years of service to his various careers in the ship building industry, the wholesale meat business, and the U.S. Postal Service. He retired from the Postal System in 2003. His many years of service and commitment to AA was a blessing to him and the many he met. Tom achieved 40-1/2 years of sobriety, and readily stated, "I did it, One-Day-At-A-Time!" Visitation will be from 7-9pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 8:00pm. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, 3200 Brooks Dr., Snellville, GA 30078.
