Troy P. Hawkins, 86, of Snellville, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017, at his home. Troy was born on July 12, 1930 in Candler, NC to Hobart and Lacy Hawkins. He worked for N.K. Hurst Company for over 35 years before retiring. Troy was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church in Stone Mountain for many years, serving as deacon, treasurer and youth coach. He was a baseball and softball umpire, basketball referee and loved to garden. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nevelle Hawkins of Snellville, daughter Dena Hulsey of Duluth, son Eric Hawkins and wife Tracy of Lawrenceville, granddaughter Emily Hulsey and grandson Reid Hawkins. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Mt.
