

Victoria (Vicki) Ann MacKenzie, age 73, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family at home on Friday, February 18th ,2022. Vicki fought her battle with ALS for over 15 months with courage, strength and dignity. Vicki was born on September 30th, 1948, in Niles, MI to her mother, Nancy Lowery and her father, Wallace Lowery, Sr. At the age of 21, Vicki married her high school sweetheart, Jack D. MacKenzie, Jr., and they were happily married for 52 years. Vicki and Jack had two sons, Scott D. MacKenzie and Ryan D. MacKenzie. Vicki proudly dedicated her life to being a mother and a homemaker. Vicki enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens. She took great pride in them. She was an avid reader and enjoyed other hobbies such as ceramics, making custom beaded jewelry and putting together puzzles. Vicki was an active and caring woman who spent most of her life thinking about and helping others. She always surrounded herself with her friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved. Vicki was a big supporter of The Humane Society and loved all animals. Vicki is survived by her husband Jack D. MacKenzie, Jr., of Snellville, GA, her son Scott D. MacKenzie, of Loganville, GA and her cat Dorian. She is also survived by her 5 siblings: Gloria MacMartin, Wallace Lowery, Jr., Joyce Flory, Ginger Bowers and Roger Lowery. Proceeded in death by Ryan D. MacKenzie, son, Wallace Lowery, Sr., father and Nancy Lowery, mother.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Vicki in early May 2022, in Snellville, GA.
