
Virginia Nell Toler, 64, of Lula, GA succumbed of an extended battle with COPD on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Bell Minor Nursing Home in Gainesville, GA. Ms. Toler was born on September 22, 1946 in Coal Mountain, WV to Raymond and Claudia Toler. She was the third eldest of 18 children. She was a homemaker for the majority of her life, but did work at various places in the Atlanta and Gainesville areas later in life. She was creative, loved animals and enjoyed participating in some of the simpler things in life like reading, writing, learning, collecting, gardening and crossword puzzles. Ms. Toler is survived by her ex-husband and father of her children, Bobby Toler, children Penny and Scott Mathieu, Russell Toler and Amanda and Frankie Roberts, grandchildren Ashley Wilson, Jack (J.D.) Mathieu, Donna Mathieu, and Nicholas Toler, great grandchildren Keith and Abigail Wilson, sisters Donna Spurlock, Josephine (Susie) Baker, Claudetta Paul, Genevieve Trull, Joan Morgan and Juanita Kenneda, brothers James(Carl), Paul, Gregory and Timothy Toler, Tyson her Jack Russell, and numerous extended family members. Ms. Toler was preceded in death by her parents, son Leonard Keith Toler, sisters Gloria and Tammy Toler and brothers Christopher, Murphy, Gerald, Larry and Raymond Toler, Jr. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Bell Minor Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice for all of their diligent work, support and care that was provided for Ms. Toler. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. John Baker officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice or to the ASPCA.
