Wayne was a beloved husband, brother and uncle. He was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, his willingness to serve, and his kindness to others.
He is remembered as a faithful service member during the Vietnam War in the US Army and touched the lives of countless individuals through his barbershops that he owned and worked in Atlanta and Summerville.
He will be deeply missed by his sisters, nieces and nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley C. Forbes, his parents, Clarence and Ethel and his brother, Richard.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Carolyn Howe and Jean Frank, and several nieces and nephews.
On Saturday June 6th, 2026 at 12pm, a Memorial Service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at North Summerville Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon and a follower of Jesus Christ.
