Bill was born and raised in Cedartown, Ga. He moved to Atlanta and started working at Sears Robuck downtown where he met his wife, Myra Peace. 2 years later, he enlisted in the Navy and served 4 years and then went into the reserves. He was honorably discharged.
After returning back to the states, he entered the Finance field and later in the 80’s met his second wife, Helen R. Peace. He retired at age 62 and they were afforded the opportunity to travel around the world on many adventures.
He was a country musician with a beautiful voice. He played the guitar and keyboard. He took immense pride in the opportunities he had to meet some of the legendary figures in the music industry.
He is survived by his only child, Kimberly (James) Hannah; Granddaughter, Cheylan Baker; and brother, Freddie Hunter.
A memorial service will be held on March 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, GA 30039.
