Yong Wan Kim, 88, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at home. A celebration of life service will take place at Atlanta Buddhist Center on June 28, 2026, at 2pm. Born in Seoul, South Korea, on December 21, 1937, Yong graduated from high school and was unable to attend university due to difficult circumstances during that period in Korea. Yong, as the head of the family made the journey to Nashville, Tennessee in search of work opportunities in September 1973. He worked as a car body repairman for 29 years and eventually became the owner of his own Bodyshop. Yong loved watching TV, vacationing in Florida, collecting stamps, and had a love for hamburgers. Yong joins his wife, Betty Suk, in the afterlife. He is survived by his children, Lynda, Susan and David, and his three grandchildren: Shaun, Jay, and Jean. Yong will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and love for his family. He was a man of few words but had an exceptional gift for humor.
