Albert "Darcy" Cyr

He was born April 8, 1917 in St. Agatha, ME and was the son of the late Hubald and Jane (Emond) Cyr.

He was a parishioner of St. Dominic Church and retired after 25 years from Fafnir Bearing in New Britain.

Albert is survived by his children, James Cyr and wife Connie of Vergennes, VT, Gilman Cyr and wife Marie-Claire and Jeannine Caron and husband Wally all of Bristol; seven grandchildren, Tammy Duprey and husband Dean of Plainville, Debbie Tillbrook and husband James of Bristol, James Cyr Jr. and wife Lisa of Newington, Kevin Cyr of Bristol, Cindy Cyr of Southington, Wayne Cyr and wife Julie of Terryville and Kimberly Cyr-McClellan and husband Marcus of Plainville; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Clarence, Albin and Roger Cyr and two sisters, Rejeane and Doria.

The Funeral will be held Saturday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
