

Southington ? Albert DuBois, 83, of College Ave., passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. He was the husband of Yvette (Michaud) DuBois.
Born August 15, 1926 in Ft. Kent, ME he was the son of the late Phydime and Laura (Michaud) DuBois.
Albert grew up in Ft. Kent, ME, later serving in the US Navy on the USS Baltimore during WW II.
He moved to Southington and was employed by General Electric in Plainville for more than 35 years retiring in 1986. He was a parishioner from the early beginnings of St. Dominic Church and was a member of the St. Dominic Men?s Club. He also volunteered at the parish carnival, the country store at the apple harvest booth along with bingo and being an usher are just a few to mention. Albert enjoyed visiting his summer home in Eagle Lake, ME.
Besides his wife he is survived by his four children Daniel DuBois of Canton, David Dubois and wife Arlene of Plantsville, Dean DuBois of Plantsville and Deborah Tomlin and husband William of Barkhamsted; three brothers Albert?s twin brother Gilbert DuBois and Clarence DuBois both of Ft. Kent, ME and Ernie DuBois of Plainville; two sisters Clara McEdwards of Phoenix, AZ and Deli Plourde of Sanford, ME., seven grandchildren, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Alphie, Phil and Arthur Dubois; two sisters Emma Shaw and Leona Charette.
The funeral will be held on Saturday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd. for a mass at 10 a.m.
Burial with military honors will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
