

Albert M. Ferretti, 77, of Southington passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, after a long illness. He was the husband of Carol (Kozon) Ferretti for 53 years and proud father to two sons. He was born in Waterbury and was the son of the late Smeraldo (Nick) and Mary (Lucewicz) Ferretti.
Al graduated from Central Connecticut State University and began his career in Finance as Director of Education at the Connecticut Credit Union League. He was president of FD Community Federal Credit Union for many years and continued working with credit unions as a consultant by assisting with mergers.
Al was an avid golfer who worked at Timberlin Golf Course in retirement where his many friends became family to him. He was known to refuse a golf cart and walk the course even on the hottest days. He was also a fan and volunteered at the U.S. Open many summers, enjoying travel to the various golf courses across the country. Though not formally trained, Al was an accomplished woodwork finisher who took pride in revitalizing well-loved furniture pieces for his friends and family.
Al leaves behind his beloved wife, Carol, two loving sons; Matthew Ferretti of Waterbury, and Jason Ferretti and his wife, Sarah, of Ellington; a brother, Richard Ferretti and his wife, Kathy, of Deer Isle, Maine; a sister-in-law, Ann Ferretti, and sister-in law, Sharon Kozon; nieces Melissa and Chelsea, and their respective families; a nephew, Thomas, and his family; and many cherished extended family members and dear friends .He also leaves his four legged buddy, Charly.
In addition to his parents, Al was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Ferretti, of Pensacola, Florida.
Visiting hours will be held at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington on Friday, June 26, from 4pm-7pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
