

He was born in Waterbury the son of the late Alfred L. King Sr. and Helene (Bryant) King. Alfred graduated as the Valedictorian from Cheshire Academy in 1963, he attended Clarkson College and received his BA from UCONN and his Masters from the University of New Hampshire. He was a member of the Mensa Society. His hobbies included coaching a drum and bugle corp. Prior to his retirement he was a Personnel Trainer for the Insurance Industry.
He is survived by his brother Glen King of South Meriden and Darlene LeVasseur of Plantsville, his nieces, Jessica King-Gould and husband Jeffrey Gold of Salt Lake City, UH, Cassandra King- Barbieri Gage and husband Alden of Great Barrington, MA, and Lynn Cochran of NYC, a nephew, Brian Cochran of Southington and a great niece Charity King- Landry. He also leaves his special friends Matt Rowe and Brian Leyh.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 16 Church St. Waterbury at 11:30 am . There are no calling hours. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. is assisting with arrangements.
